Scheduling
Switch 08 implements a more predictable job processing order and implements real job priorities to fast track a job through a flow. Hot folders and FTP/Mail receive tools can be scheduled to automatically activate in a predefined time window.
Additional flow elements
Switch 08 implements a number of new configurators (including an Ultimate Impostrip Ondemand and an EFI ColorProof XT configurator) and substantially upgrades the available tools. Main highlights are an all new rename and job assembler tool, and new tools to easily link flows on different computers.
Read-only job processing
Switch 08 adds the capability to pick up jobs from a folder or FTP server without removing them from the folder or FTP server.
Enhanced variables
A new preview feature shows the value of variables for real jobs; this makes it easier to pick the correct variable while designing a new flow. Additional variables enable picking up external metadata (JDF, XML, XMP). |
